Standard Equity members* - Cover from £56 a year

Equity members rely upon a wide range of costumes, props instruments and equipment and would experience difficulty should they be lost, damaged, stolen or destroyed.

Home insurance usually excludes professional/trade belongings so having a policy providing cover for items used in connection with your occupation is essential to ensure that you are able to maintain your employment obligations and income.

For your protection, Equity has arranged via First Act and insurers Hiscox, cover that provides the replacement of insured items at competitive and affordable rates.

Note: The Equity Professional Property Cover is an optional extension to the Equity backstage cover

*Standard member - A member of Equity who is in benefit in accordance with the rules of Equity who is not a student member, who is a permanent resident of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands or any overseas artist visiting the United Kingdom to whom Equity has granted membership of Equity.

General pre-contract disclosure

When applying for this insurance you will be asked a number of questions to determine your demands, needs, eligibility and suitability of the insurances offered. You will not receive any advice or recommendations during the purchase process. The covers offered are only available via this website to qualifying members of Equity who have access to e mail and acceptable payment card. Once the purchase is complete, you will be sent by e mail a confirmation of payment, Policy ,Schedule and our Terms of Business. Statement of demands and needs

The Equity Professional Property Cover meets the demands and needs of standard members of Equity that requires protection against loss, damage or theft of items used in connection with an Equity related occupation up to the amount selected subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Once payment has been taken, you will receive a confirmation of cover schedule and policy wording illustrating the period of cover, terms and conditions. Members are reminded that they must maintain their membership to ensure that cover applies
